My Revolutionary War Ancestors include the following from New York State:
INCREASE HEWITT - Born in 1746 in Connecticut, died 1829 in Pomfert, Vermont, son of Joanna Denison and Henry Hewitt. He married Elizabeth Tyler, daughter of Mehitable Shurteff and Daniel Tyler.
He was of English descent and served in the War of American Revolution in the local miltia from his home town of Promfert, Vermont. Private Hewitt was also a Mayflower descendant, the 4 th Great Grandson of Elizabeth Tilley And John Howland, and the fifth Great-Grandson of Joan Hurst and John Tilley
HENRY ROMER - Born May 11, 1755 in Westchester, New York, died November 5, 1830 in Cortlandtown, Westchester County, New York. He married first to Mary Jennings the daughter of William Jennings Jr.. His second marraige was to Racheal.
He was of Swedish descent and served in the War of the American Revolution,
